  • PTI performed the front end engineering design, the project engineering, assisting with project set-up and cost control of the 2005 Tuscarora Gas Transmission System Expansion. This project consists of the  design of one Solar T60 compressor stations, a 3600 HP recip. booster station as well as the hot tapping and stoppling of the pipeline to allow for the installation of the compression equipment.

  • PTI performed the front end engineering design, the system hydraulics, the project management and cost control of the 2002 Tuscarora Gas Transmission System Expansion. This project consisted of the grassroots design of two Solar T60 compressor stations, a 600 HP recip. booster station as well as the hot tapping and stoppling of the pipeline to allow for the installation of the compressor stations.

  • PTI was selected to carry out the Preliminary facility design and feasibility studies on the Alliance Pipeline in Canada and the USA. This pipeline was originally conceived as a dense phase pipeline designed to transport high liquid content natural gas. During the feasibility stage, all different possible design variations were considered and Alliance settled on a normal high pressure pipeline at 1740 psi.  PTI selected all of the facility locations, prepared the Design Concept Manual for the facilities, verified the system hydraulics, researched the equipment supply, generated detailed cost estimates, assisted in both the FERC and NEB Applications, generated the preliminary P&ID's, generated the reliability/availability study and prepared the gas turbine and electric motor bid specifications.

  • AlintaGas (Western Australia) -Supply of SCADA expertise for the upgrading of the existing SCADA system to control nine stations on 1600 miles of 26" Natural Gas Pipeline.

  • Worley Limited (Australia) -Provided technical input for preliminary design and turbine specification and selection to Gas Transmission Corporation of Melbourne, Australia. Project included the generation of preliminary engineering package for two multi-unit Solar Centaur/Taurus compressor stations.

  • Novacorp International /Botas -Mechanical Design verification, construction quality control and start-up of the USSR/Turkey Natural Gas Pipeline system. This system included over 700 km of 36 and 24 inch pipeline, 11 large meter stations and one 30 MW compressor station.

  • AlintaGas (Western Australia) -Generated study comparing compressor selection options and application of various vendor equipment to the short term expansion and long term growth of AlintaGas’s 1600 km, nine station, 26" pipeline system.

  • Project Management and mechanical design of 2500 psig, 12" gas injection pipeline system for Amoco Crossfield.

  • Co-ordination of client requirements and overall engineering design with an emphasis on the operational requirements relating to the design of three mainline gas compression station additions for Alberta Natural Gas. Units added were EGT RLM1600’s(18,000 hp).

  • Mechanical design for five multi-unit compressor stations utilizing Dresser-Rand TCV-10 and TLAD-8 large integral reciprocating gas compression units for the CNG Transmission Corp. of Clarksburg W.V.

  • Complete mechanical design of 8.0 MW pipeline compressor station consisting of three heavy industrial Nuovo Pignone units arranged in a Series/Parallel configuration.

  • Mechanical design of a 6.1 MW variable speed electric drive gas compression facility.
